Up too early

So I woke up this morning, betrayed by the light. I looked at my traitorous PDA, and my blurry eyes miss-read the time as 8:30AM. Since I had set an alarm at 8:00AM, I was annoyed, and got myself out of bed to got ready for work. When I staggered downstairs, I looked at the time again which now read 6:57AM.

How could that be?

I was up and ready, well dressed anyway, an hour before I had planned to be awake. I might have been happy except that I had only gone to bed 5 hours before, and had not slept well anyway.

I'd like to go back to sleep, but I know that would be a bad idea. I would never get back up in time for work.

Oh well, I'll sleep next month.
