A really good movie... and other stuff
Nov. 1st, 2003 11:31 pmWe just watched a really good movie. It is called The Sum of Us. It stars Russell Crowe as a gay man living with his father (but not With his father) in Australia. Very cool, check it out.
The other day, we got the most important stuff out of the backyard, and covered the rest with tarps. And it rained that night. Worked out well.
Other things going on around the house. I fixed the brakes on my truck today. I finished a group project and an individual project for class. And Dawn and I got the lumber for the bookshelves we will be building for our science fiction and fantasy paperbacks.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to go the Toby and Jean's party tonight because of the vehicle problems. Drat.
Tomorrow I will get the brakes on the Toyota fixed as well. We took it in to a shop today and they wanted about $600 to fix the brakes. So I am doing it myself.
I will also get the bookshelves built tomorrow, and then we can get the rest of the books put away.
We still have more to do, but the house to shaping up nicely.

Date: 2003-11-02 06:29 pm (UTC)I've hesitated to mention it because I know you've all had so much to deal with, but I still have the futon I borrowed from you and can bring it back anytime you'd like. I also got a frame to go with it if you'd like that, too you're welcome to it. I can fit them all in my car, I think, and bring them over whenever is convenient for you. (of course I'll have to have Blake with me, but we'll put him on a leash or something so he doesn't do too much damage...)
Glad you're doing the masters in IT, it'll be great for you to have that lovely piece of paper.
