Can you say chord progressions?
Aug. 12th, 2003 08:50 pmWhen Rowan came out for the summer, we enrolled him in guitar lessons, because he is so interested in music. He and I had a lot of fun, and I decided to pick-up a guitar myself, though I had not played in about 20 years. I got a beater for about $60 (anybody know who makes the Maya brand guitar?), and started helping Rowan with his lessons and practicing some stuff he wasn't ready for. I am still at it and spent sveral hours tonight working on some wicked chord progression from an old book I inhereted from my grandfather. On that note, when I have some money, I will be restoring my grandfather's guitar. It is beautiful, but needs some work since the neck is warped. It is also over 50 years old, and I can't find any manufacturers markings on it, but have had one guy suggest that it may be a Martin(!)
Now the tough thing is that the fingers on my left hand are tender, and I'm typing this journal update. More practice I guess. It makes good inbetween work when I am waiting on something, rather than solitaire or other fidgeting activities.
