Where I'm at now
Mar. 29th, 2003 08:10 pmSo, my last job is over. I didn't realize it would bother me so much but it has. There are a number of people there I have come to like, even if I am not out about who I really am to anybody there, and many of the people are rather conservative. I think the whole office banded together because we were the "red-headed bastard children" of the company.
Ah, well, on to other things. On the lighter side, I have been getting a lot of stuff done around the house, and going to the gym more too. I am worried about finances, but the severance package should hold us for about a month.
And on to the even more interesting things. I have had several businesses and individuals ask me to do consulting for them. I figure that even at 15-20 hours per week, I would be okay. I will still look for permanent work, but I am hoping that this will keep us afloat until something does come together.
Oh, and my social calendar is pretty much wide open....

Date: 2003-04-01 01:02 am (UTC)I'm so sorry that you're unemployed, let me touch base with my husband and see if we can help. I'm would like to come up on Thursday for tea with Dawn, and afterwards take you to dinner. I thought that I could leave dinner for the rest of the family, and we could get out. Let me know if that would work for all of you.
