A surprisingly good poly movie
Nov. 4th, 2003 10:55 pmWe just watched the movie Bandits, with Bruce Willis, Billy Bob Thornton, Kate Blanchet. It is a great movie, with the three main characters becoming involved in a V relatinship, and dealing with that. Bruce Willis and Billy Bob Thornton play escaped convicts who become the 'Sleepover Bandits' and both become involved with Kate Blanchet, a disgruntled housewife who joins them.
The movie is funny, witty, off-kilter and clever. It also has a good soundtrack, with songs that are always moods appropriate and well chosen. The character interaction is wonderful, and the plot, while not deep, is different enough keep one interested in how things will work out. I did guess the ending, but wasn't sure until about 5 minutes from the end that I was right.
I watched this movie because I like the actors. I was expecting a clever action flick. I was happily surprised to find it was much more. The poly themes, clever dialogue and plot, make this a must see movie. I highly recommend this movie.
